NEW DELHI: 62.31 percent polling in 96 constituencies in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections. West Bengal had the highest turnout at 75 percent, while Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar had the lowest at 35.75 percent.

BJP leader Dilip Ghosh's vehicle was damaged by Trinamool workers' stone pelting in Bardhaman, Bengal. Two security personnel were injured. Congress candidate Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury alleged that Trinamool workers with the help of goons created trouble by blocking voters in Baharampur. Several complaints of voting disruptions were raised across the state. More problems arose between Trinamool and BJP workers. Trinamool accused CRPF jawans of threatening voters in Murshidabad. BJP accused YSR Congress of attacking its workers in Andhra Pradesh.

A case has been registered against Madhavi Lata, a BJP candidate in Hyderabad who took off the burqa of Muslim women and checked them. The action was taken on the complaint of AIMIM candidate Asaduddin Owaisi. A video of the candidate who came to the booth to check voter ID cards asking Muslim women to remove their burqas and show their faces went viral. She said that the intention was only to identify women and there was nothing wrong with that.
